EBSCOhost Mobile Applications: Getting Started

1. Download the EBSCOhost app from the iTunes Store or Android Market

2. After installing the app on your device, login to any one of our EBSCOhost databases that the Buffalo and Erie County Public library subscribes: MasterFILE Premier, Consumer Reports, EBSCO Image Collection, Primary Search, Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia, Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia (EBSCOhost Espanol), or Library Information Science.


3. Click on the EBSCOhost iPhone and Android Applications link at the bottom of the page and enter your email address which you can access from your device. An email with an authentication key will be sent to you.


4. Click the Access code in the email from your device and click the link found in the email to authenticate the application. You have 24 hours to access the key from your device to authenticate the app. If the key is not used within 24 hours, it expires and you will need a new key.

5. Mobile access to EBSCOhost databases will expire in 9 months you can always reactivate it by following the process above.
